Committee Meeting Minutes
DEVON WESTERN RIDING CLUB . Committee meeting held at the Prewley moor Arms Sourton Cross, Okehampton, Feb 15th 2010.
Committee members present were Neil & Lorna Smerdon, Jennifer Collie, Terry & Judy Milam, Verity Wedlake,Alison Allen & Jane Moor. Apologies from Roger Harris & Peter Hill.
On the Agenda. Matters arising form the AGM, Complaints proceedures, Organisation of the WEB site for 2010, Advertising of events and clinics, Costing shows, Schedules for coming events, entertainment for the Dinner on Feb 27th 2010.
The complaints proceedure will be on all schedules and in the show rules and on diplay at Secretarys table. Attention will be drawn to this for all members benefit.
The WEB will be up dated and last years events will be in the archives section. Room will be made for all the lovely new photos from our shows.
All events will be advertised and posters available for members to distribute which will also contain all information of each event and the prices of tickets for watching where apropriate. All bookings for clinics will have to be paid for at the time of booking as the venue and trainers have to be paid regardless of who turns up.
Schedules will be out early a month before the shows and the entry forms and patterns where apropriate will also be available both on the WEB and by post. Postal information will be sent automatically. It is hoped this will enable early entries which will be at basic fees. However entries on the day will incur an increased fee.
It is hoped to have a large screen at the dinner on which we can project a constant display of the lovely photos we have all been taking. Getting the equipment may be a problem. Any ideas welcome before the dinner on February 27th.
The DWRC has welcomed the formation of the WES Devon as this will afford our WES members a greater opportunity for training in your area. It is hoped that current DWRC members will feel free to also join WES . It all adds to the progression of Western Riding in the South West.
The next committee meeting is to be arranged after the dinner and all members are invited to send in any suggestions or questions which they wish put before the committee . The next Cub News Letter will also be out after the Dinner. We look forward to your response.
